You Should Watch Both Sides of the News
Despite me giving this advice during the 2020 presidential election, it’s useful for any situation where you must choose between two sides.
Regardless of who you vote for in any election, one thing is super important: you must understand both sides of the coin.
Regardless of who wins, you, a small business owner, are affected in one way or another.
You need to have a plan in case your candidate wins. After all, you’re probably confident that everything is going to be okay.
But you also need to have a backup plan just in case the other guy wins.
Every single day I wake up in the morning and I throw on one of the two major news channels.
I like to watch one channel for a while, and I noticed that they present the news on a cycle. I watch it until I hear the same story, and then repeat again. Then I switch to the other channel, and I go through one of their cycles.
This is how I kickstart my day.
It allows me to approach my day with both sides in mind, but in the big picture, it allows me to really be planning for the eventuality. Sometimes your side will lose, and sometimes your side will win.
Regardless of who you support, ask yourself the most important question: is your business prepared?
I encourage you to support your candidate, but also always be prepared with your business in the event that the other guy wins.
